I can still hear Fire calls and State Police, but they just aren't as interesting Now I must try to sell this baby in order to satisfy my wife's complaints that I have too many pieces of audio/radio equipment just sittin. This unit is in excellent working condition and shows little to no sign of wear. In fact it rarely left my mancave. The only issue I had was that I could not connect with the micro SD card while it was inside the unit. In order to make my own list with the associated software (found online) I had to remove the micro SD card and place it in my laptop.
This could be because I was running an old operating system OR there may be something wrong with the unit. However, every other feature works perfectly.Again, if it wasn't for the fact that the Eugene Police and Lane County Sheriff's Departments are encrypted, I would be keeping this spectacular unit. I was easily able to pull in calls from 50 miles away and really miss being the first to know what was happening in my area. THERE IS NO WAY TO LISTEN TO CALLS ON ANY SCANNER IF THE RADIO SYSTEM YOUR LOCAL LEA OPERATES ON USES ENCRYPTION. The Zip Code function on the SDS100 will have you up and running in a matter of seconds should you decide not to preprogram the unit with Uniden's online software. This unit was updated a couple of months ago, so it probably doesn't need an update right away.
Includes: Original Box & Packing Material, Battery, Antenna, New Screen Protector (I removed the one I had originally placed,) Belt Clip, Owners Manual, Lanyard, Wall Charger and Cable. If you have a feedback score of less than 10 or are a newbie I will cancel the order. I will not tolerate any B.
