The Whistler WS1088 allows you to listen to desired communications without PC or Internet programming because everything is already in the scanner!

The scanner includes a 4GB SD card inside the radio with the entire US database of trunked systems and popular conventional frequencies so you can monitor local police/fire and emergency frequencies right out of the box. So no matter where you are in the USA, you can easily and instantly access the analog trunking systems and conventional frequencies of interest. Frequency step: 3.125, 5, 6.25, 7.5, 8.33, 10, 12.5 and 25 kHz. The large backlit LCD utilizes icons.

To give you the exact status of your radio. The radio is highly configurable to your own operating preferences. Operates from four AA cells or USB 5 VDC. Requires a PC with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Includes a printed manual and a quick-start-guide, belt clip, PC USB data cable. If you are using rechargeable AA cells (not included), you can charge them internally via the supplied USB cable.

The WS1088 has a full backlit alphanumeric keypad in addition to the familiar Scan, Pause, Select and Navigation controls.
